An editable sales deck creates a useful freedom and a risk: the salesperson can tailor the story, but can also accidentally change the price basis, remove a qualification or turn an illustrative outcome into a promise.
Our editorial picks for turning an approved sales brief into that handoff are Gamma for reviewing the build plan and working from supplied content, and Beautiful.ai for an outline-first workflow with an explicit exact-text option during slide iteration. Both offer PowerPoint export. Neither makes the exported offer immune to unapproved edits.
Selection criteria: support for supplied briefing material, a review point before or during design, documented editable delivery, and checkable access costs. Official sources and current prices were reviewed November 8, 2026. We did not generate a sales deck, inspect a sample export or test claim preservation. “Best” means a suitable fit for these criteria, not a measured ranking of sales effectiveness. The cover is an original illustration.
Use a brief containing the approved audience, problem, product scope, evidence and commercial next step. For every factual claim, retain its source, owner and review date. A price needs its currency, billing basis and any eligibility conditions beside it—not just an attractive number.
Separate what the salesperson may change from what needs renewed approval. A prospect's name and meeting date may be routine edits; pricing, scope, availability and promised results may require the offer owner. This is an editorial policy you provide, not a permission system we verified in either product.
Our editable-PowerPoint alternatives guide covers the receiving-file constraint in more detail. This shortlist addresses a different failure: the file remains editable while the approved commercial meaning drifts.
| Sales-deck requirement | Gamma | Beautiful.ai |
|---|
| Review before building | Agent Plan mode shows the intended approach before generation | Editable slide-by-slide outline before design |
| Work from approved material | Paste notes or attach files; explicitly request text as supplied | Prompt with supporting files; review outline and use Preserve Exact Text for relevant slide iteration |
| Avoid a misleading editable handoff | Do not choose Image slides when text must be edited separately | Choose Editable PowerPoint rather than PowerPoint Images |
| Final responsibility | Compare slides and exported offer with the approved brief | Compare slides and exported offer with the approved brief |
A source attachment is context, not evidence that every generated sentence is approved. Keep the original brief available throughout the review.
Gamma's Agent creation guide describes supplying notes or files, selecting Plan mode and reviewing the proposed approach before it builds. It also advises telling the agent when finished text should be used as-is.
For a sales brief, use that stage to inspect the proposed sequence: customer problem, approved scope, supported evidence, offer conditions and next action. Ask for missing information to remain a review item rather than a guessed benefit or customer result. These are instructions we recommend, not a guarantee of factual preservation.
A particularly important choice is the slide type. The same guide describes Image slides as single generated images with text built in. That may suit an illustration-led presentation, but it conflicts with a requirement that the recipient edit a price or heading as ordinary text.
Choose Gamma when plan review and supplied-content instructions fit your authoring process. Check first: the chosen slide type, credit balance and whether the actual exported objects meet your recipient's needs.
Gamma's export guidance documents PPTX, editable tables and speaker notes. It also says exports lack a PowerPoint slide-master layout. A deck that permits local text edits is therefore different from a reusable corporate master template.
Beautiful.ai's AI creation guide describes adding a prompt and supporting material, then reviewing and editing a slide-by-slide outline. Use that outline to check that the offer's restrictions have not disappeared while its benefits gained emphasis.
Its Slide AI documentation describes Preserve Exact Text, which focuses generation on layout or structure without rewriting the supplied copy. The guide warns that outline text and generated slide text may not match one-to-one without that setting.
That makes the control relevant when a carefully worded offer slide needs a clearer layout. It does not establish a locked field in the eventual PowerPoint file. Someone must still compare the result with the brief and approve later commercial changes.
Choose Beautiful.ai when outline review and exact-text iteration are useful to your team. Check first: the setting for the relevant operation and the export type.
The export guide distinguishes Editable PowerPoint from PowerPoint Images. Editable export is available on Pro, Team and Enterprise and includes notes. Fonts may need installing on the receiving device; transitions and animations are lost in external formats. Do not put an essential offer qualification only in an animation.
The public USD prices below were checked on the review date. Gamma's Annual and Monthly selections were inspected in a browser; Beautiful.ai's figures come from its official pricing page.
| Route | Verified price | Relevant limit or condition |
|---|---|---|
| Gamma Free | $0 | 400 signup credits; up to 10 slides per prompt |
| Gamma Plus | $12 per seat/month, or $108 per seat/year ($9/month equivalent) | Removes Gamma branding; paid credit allowance |
| Beautiful.ai Pro | $14.50/month equivalent, billed annually | Individual author; editable PowerPoint export |
| Beautiful.ai Team | $40 per user/month billed annually, or $50 monthly | Offer for teams of 2–20; price each required seat |
Sources: Gamma pricing and Beautiful.ai pricing. Annual equivalents require the annual billing commitment. Confirm the final invoice, taxes, seat requirements and renewal terms before purchasing.
Gamma's credit explanation says Free credits do not refresh. Completed AI actions consume credits even when you dislike the result; manual editing does not. Do not budget a sequence of sales revisions as unlimited free generations. Removing Gamma's badge also depends on the paid workspace being active at export time.
Beautiful.ai offers a fourteen-day trial, not an ongoing free tier. Its pricing FAQ says a card is required and will be charged unless the trial is cancelled before it ends. We did not activate either service or make a purchase.
For a single author delivering an editable file, start by evaluating the individual route. Buy a team subscription for verified collaboration or governance needs, not simply because more people will watch the sales presentation.
First, have the offer owner check every claim against the approved brief. Pay special attention to per-seat versus whole-team pricing, annual equivalents presented as monthly charges, eligibility and implementation prerequisites. Remove invented customer logos, testimonials or results.
Second, ask the intended recipient to perform a permitted edit, such as replacing a prospect name or moving a meeting date. Have them save and reopen the deck in their actual presentation application. Verify the offer wording, figures and qualifications again after that change.
Retain a dated approved reference alongside the editable file and a short list of changes needing reapproval. If the deck changes after review, compare the changed slides before sending it to a prospect. This is a proposed acceptance exercise, not a test we completed.
Open Gamma if plan review is the useful starting point, or Beautiful.ai if exact-text slide iteration is the stronger fit. Evaluate one difficult offer slide before generating the full deck. Pay only after its copy, editability and delivery conditions match the approved sales brief.
